Committed to Safety and Excellence

Darwin is proud to be COR® Certified by WorkSafeBC, a nationally recognized accreditation that reflects our commitment to the highest standards of workplace health and safety.

The Certificate of Recognition (COR®) is awarded to employers who implement and maintain a comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) that goes beyond regulatory requirements. Built on a continuous “Plan, Do, Check, Act” cycle, COR® certification demonstrates our dedication to creating safe and healthy work environments for our teams, partners and communities.

Achieving COR® reinforces our belief that a safe workplace is a strong workplace, and allows us to:

Demonstrate leadership and accountability in protecting the wellbeing of every person on our sites.
Strengthen our competitive edge, meeting prequalification requirements for major projects and attracting top talent.
Deliver tangible results, including safer job sites, fewer incidents and potential financial savings through reduced injury claims and WorkSafeBC premium incentives.

This certification underscores Darwin’s proactive approach to safety, not just meeting standards, but exceeding them. It’s one more way we’re committed to building for tomorrow.

From Darwin's roots as a construction company founded by David Webbe in 1987, we've grown into a company that also develops new communities under the direction of Oliver Webbe, the family’s second generation. Our unique mix of construction and development expertise makes us a valued partner in residential and commercial projects of every kind. Since the beginning, the story of Darwin has been told through the integrity of our actions, our straightforward approach to business, and our relationships with the communities in which we work. We are committed to being a valued member of communities and to playing our part in making them stronger now and for future generations.
